Hand Of Hope Christian non profit support center for girls and
women with unplanned pregnancies. They are located din Fuquay Varina and offer
support, counseling, pregnancy tests, ultra sounds/medical care, parenting
classes etc. They also share the gospel with the women to help them know they
are loved by God and so is there baby.
United Way of the Greater Triangle is sponsoring the MLK Day of Service A Day on, not a Day Off. Volunteer Project opportunities for families of all ages will be available. This Day of Service is registered with the National MLK Day of Service across the country.
Caring Community Foundation CCF is a local
grassroots organization that raises money for financially needy people, in our
area, who have cancer. They help to pay their rent, buy groceries, pay
medical bills etc...
With Love From Jesus Four days each week the community is welcomed by
caring volunteers. Our honored guests
are given the opportunity to hear a message from the Bible, to receive prayer
and to shop without cost for items needed for their households. With Love From Jesus Ministries gleans useful
items from local businesses, families and churches and gives those items to
people with a need. 421 Chapanoke Road, Raleigh
Hospice of Wake County Hospice of Wake County will open its new hospice house in
January; the only nonprofit free-standing hospice in
Wake County.
Harbor Inc. Harbor Inc. has been assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual
assault, and displaced homemakers in Johnston County for 20 years. They
are committed to victim services realizing that domestic and sexual
violence are not just family problems, nor are they issues that affect
only women. These acts of violence impact our entire society.
Pajama Program Delivering warm sleepwear and nurturing book to children in need. Our local chapter has a new director, Sue Myers. You can make donations through her at Sue@pajamaprogram.org.
BackPack Buddies In cooperation with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, BackPack Buddies provides backpacks full of child friendly, nutritious food to children in need for weekends and during holiday breaks.
You are invited to join Crossroads MOPS. Discover the value of having relationships in the journey through the preschool years. MOPS goal is to equip you to handle the joys
and challenges of life as a mom. While moms are enjoying their morning program, our
children are cared for in age appropriate classes. They are lovingly entertained with games, crafts, songs,
Bible stories and snacks.
